Thought of Wisdom 04-30-2013

We as God’s righteous children do not have to be afraid or troubled.

Our hearts are to be firmly fixed and trusting in the Lord.

He alone is the One with the power and strength and authority, and He has given it to us.

We do not have to fear anyone or anything.  We are the victorious ones

The Righteous, Blessed Ones

Psalm 112 tells us about the righteous ones, which you are if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior.  Today we will speak that Psalm over ourselves.  It is a very specific description of who we are and what we have in the midst of a world full of wickedness.  Meditate on this Psalm until you see yourself as that person God describes in this scripture.

I praise You, Lord.  I am blessed as a man/woman that reveres and worships You, Lord.

I delight greatly in Your commandments (Word).

My seed, my offspring shall be mighty upon the earth.

I am upright and my generation shall be blessed.

Wealth and riches shall be in my house and my righteousness endures forever.

Light arises in the middle of the darkness for me as God’s righteous one.

I am gracious and full of compassion and in right standing with God.

It is well with me.  I show favor, deal generously and lend.

I conduct my affairs with justice and discretion.

I will not be moved forever.

I as God’s righteous one shall be in everlasting remembrance.

I shall not be afraid of evil tidings.

My heart is firmly fixed, trusting in the Lord.  I am leaning on Him and I am confident in Him.

My heart is established and steady.

I will not be afraid, until I see my desire upon my enemies.

I have distributed freely.  I have given to the poor and needy.

My righteousness with God endures forever.

My horn, emblem of excessive strength and power, shall be exalted with honor.

The wicked man will see it (my righteousness and power and authority) and be grieved and angered.

He will gnash his teeth and disappear in despair.

The desire of the wicked shall perish and come to nothing.

What do we see in this Psalm?

We as God’s righteous children do not have to be afraid or troubled.

Our hearts are to be firmly fixed and trusting in the Lord.

He alone is the One with the power and strength and authority, and He has given it to us.

We do not have to fear the wicked, for they shall perish and come to nothing.

We can praise God and worship Him and delight greatly in His Word.  He is our Light and our Salvation.

I remain in the secret place of God’s Presence where His love defends and protects me.

Thought of Wisdom 04-29-2013

We dwell, remain stable and fixed in the secret place of the Most High and are established, unalterably settled under God’s glory which is a canopy, a defense of divine love and protection of the Almighty God Whose power no foe can withstand.

Holy Spirit Residence – The Secret Place, Part 2

I am fixed under the shadow of the Almighty.  What does this mean?  I thought there was no shadow with God.  This is our English translation’s way of saying “covering.”  God’s glory is this covering.  It is a canopy of divine love and protection.  It is God.  We know that His glory is His Love (Power) expressed or manifested on earth.

He allows us to see His glory.  His glory is His Presence.  When our spiritual eyes are open here on earth, we can perceive God’s presence and power expressed in our personal lives, as well as in corporate gatherings.  When we get to heaven, we will have the spiritual ability to see Him and His glory all the time.  The only reason we cannot see it here on this earth all the time is that we don’t walk in the spirit all the time.  Flesh has to be dealt with continually.  The flesh cannot see God nor perceive Him.

The Holy Spirit is here to help us stay in the spirit and still live a normal life here with his “super” on our “natural.”  I love living supernaturally in this natural world.  It is so much fun.  It is a carefree life.  We are God’s responsibility.  We do what He tells us to do.  He performs His Word on our behalf and for those to whom He sends us.  It is an effortless life of sweatless victory.  What produces that kind of life?  Trust and confidence in God’s ability and capability of taking care of us.

If you are like me (maybe you are not), it is difficult to have the patience to wait on someone else to do something when you think you have the ability to do it so much faster.  I believe that many times we have this mindset about God.  We have this concept that it takes forever to receive from Him.  It is all this work and pressure and stress and strain.  He didn’t put those thoughts in your head.  It is satan, because he knows that once you and I know that God does things much better than we can ever do them (and God will do them for us), he has “had it.”  He won’t be able to harass us anymore.

We dwell, remain stable and fixed in the secret place of the Most High and are established, unalterably settled under God’s glory which is a canopy, a defense of divine love and protection of the Almighty God Whose power no foe can withstand.

Hallowed Be Thy Name, Part 3

God is JEHOVAH JIREH, THE LORD WILL PROVIDE.

Genesis 22:13,14

And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns:  and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-Jireh:  as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen or it will be provided.

The story which prompted Abraham’s calling God Jehovah-Jireh is Genesis 22, the story of Abraham and his son Isaac.  At the point where Abraham is going to offer Isaac as a sacrifice on the altar, God supplied a ram in the thicket for the sacrifice.  It is here that Abraham called God, Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our Provider.  Abraham’s willingness to offer his only son was the opening for Jesus to come into this earth.  Since a man was willing to offer his only son, the way was now prepared for God to offer His only Son Jesus many years later.

A little side note:  It is also here that God said that He would bless Abraham and multiply his seed as the stars of heaven (spiritual seed in Jesus as stated in Galatians 3:16,29) and as the sand which is upon the seashore (physical seed, the Jewish nation of Israel).  God said of this seed that they shall possess the gate of their enemies.  Jesus said in Matthew 16:18 that the gates of hell shall not prevail against you this seed.

The Lord has already provided everything you and I will ever need before we ever need it.  That is so awesome that our human mind cannot “take it in.”  Yes, actually before you were ever placed in your mother’s womb, God had made provision for all your needs while you are here on this earth on His assignment.

Someone needs to hear this.  Every person who is born here has a purpose and a reason for living.  If you think that you don’t have a reason for living, you are wrong.  You were not a mistake.  You were born on purpose for a purpose with a purpose.  God needs you.  He has a place for you in His overall divine plan here.  Without you, it is incomplete, while He raises up someone else whom He has to develop and train

God sees our needs ahead of time and provides for them.  He is not only willing but also standing ready with His ability to meet our every need.  God has promised us success and victory.  As we pray in the spirit, our spiritual eyes become the eyes of the Lord, and we see His specific provision for our specific need.

ROMANS 8:32 tells us that with His Son Jesus Christ God has freely given us all things.  PHILIPPIANS 4:19 tells us that our God liberally supplies our every need according to His riches in glory.  He fills us up to the full.  JOSHUA 1:8 tells us that God wants us to be prosperous and have good success and do wisely.  1 CORINTHINANS 1:15 tells us:  Thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  2 CORINTHIANS 2:14 tells us:  Now thanks be unto God, Who always causes us to triumph in Christ.

God sees into the future, sees the need, and moves to supply the need before we ever get there.  If you have been praying for your need, move into praise, which is believing and thanking God for the need being met.  Our words loose the blessings of God and can stop the works of the devil.  Every time we praise God for His names, we are loosing the blessings of God on our lives and binding the devil.  You are binding and loosing in the act of worship.  You are binding the wicked spirits and loosing the blessing of the Lord.  God’s provision shall be seen

A Man With Palsy Healed, Matthew 9:1-8

Jesus entered into a boat and crossed over to the other side and came to His own town Capernaum.  When He got there, they brought to Him a man paralyzed and prostrate with sickness, lying on a sleeping pad.  In other words, the man could not get out of bed and walk.  When Jesus saw the faith of the people who brought the paralyzed man, He said to the paralyzed man, “Son, take courage, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you.”

Of course, certain of the scribes who were standing by said to themselves:  “This man blasphemes.  He claims the rights of God.  He claims to be able to do the things God can do.”

Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them:  “Why do you think evil and harbor malice in your hearts?  For which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven or get up and walk’?”

“But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins, He said to the paralyzed man:  “Get up, arise!  Pick up your sleeping pad and go to your house.”

And the man got up and went away to his own house.

When the crowds saw this, they marveled and glorified God, praising and thanking Him that He had given such power and authority to men.

Boy, are there all kinds of lessons here.

First of all, we see once again that the faith of someone else healed this man, just as the centurion’s faith in Jesus healed his servant.  It is interesting that Jesus saw their faith.  What did He see?  He saw confidence.  He saw assurance.  He perceived in His spirit that they had faith.  Faith is not something you see with the natural physical eye.  You can see the results of faith with your natural, physical eye.  But faith is seen with the spiritual eyes.  You just know when someone has faith.  It is recognizable.

Secondly, here Jesus says that sins forgiven and sickness healed is all in the same package.  One is not different than the other.  He said:  “Which is easier to say, your sins be forgiven or rise up and walk?”  Then He proved that one is as easy as the other by saying to the man:  “Get up and walk.”  Why do we have such difficulty with healing and receive forgiveness of sins so easily?  I have a theory and I believe I am right.  Every church which is a truly Christian church preaches and teaches on sins being forgiven.  But how often do you hear sermons on healing?  Is it a weekly thing like the preaching of sins forgiven?  When is the last time you heard your pastor teach on healing?  Does he do it on a regular basis?  You see, we believe and act on what we hear the most.

The other thing I noticed is that the religious leaders questioned Jesus and did not know Who He was, even though they had studied about Him, the coming Messiah.  That shows me that we can read about Jesus and learn about Him and not really know Him personally.  I thought it was interesting that He told them that their thoughts were evil and they were harboring malice in their hearts.

There is a place in the scriptures where unbelief is equated to evil.  It is called an evil heart of unbelief.  Apparently, unbelief is quite a big thing with Jesus.  You either believe Him or you don’t.  And you can’t pick and choose what you believe about Him.  You either believe Him or you don’t.  You either accept the whole package or you don’t.  You can’t decide what is true and what is not.  He either is or He isn’t as far as you are concerned.  He and His Word are all Truth.  Even when our minds are going tilt, we must still believe.  He will help our unbelief.  That is His job.  All we have to do is give our unbelief to Him to fix for us.

Healing Confession 04-28-2013

Lord, I believe.

I submit any areas of unbelief to you to help me with my believing.

I am healed and I believe I am healed.
