Hallowed Be Thy Name, Part 3

God is JEHOVAH JIREH, THE LORD WILL PROVIDE.

Genesis 22:13,14

And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns:  and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-Jireh:  as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen or it will be provided.

The story which prompted Abraham’s calling God Jehovah-Jireh is Genesis 22, the story of Abraham and his son Isaac.  At the point where Abraham is going to offer Isaac as a sacrifice on the altar, God supplied a ram in the thicket for the sacrifice.  It is here that Abraham called God, Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our Provider.  Abraham’s willingness to offer his only son was the opening for Jesus to come into this earth.  Since a man was willing to offer his only son, the way was now prepared for God to offer His only Son Jesus many years later.

A little side note:  It is also here that God said that He would bless Abraham and multiply his seed as the stars of heaven (spiritual seed in Jesus as stated in Galatians 3:16,29) and as the sand which is upon the seashore (physical seed, the Jewish nation of Israel).  God said of this seed that they shall possess the gate of their enemies.  Jesus said in Matthew 16:18 that the gates of hell shall not prevail against you this seed.

The Lord has already provided everything you and I will ever need before we ever need it.  That is so awesome that our human mind cannot “take it in.”  Yes, actually before you were ever placed in your mother’s womb, God had made provision for all your needs while you are here on this earth on His assignment.

Someone needs to hear this.  Every person who is born here has a purpose and a reason for living.  If you think that you don’t have a reason for living, you are wrong.  You were not a mistake.  You were born on purpose for a purpose with a purpose.  God needs you.  He has a place for you in His overall divine plan here.  Without you, it is incomplete, while He raises up someone else whom He has to develop and train

God sees our needs ahead of time and provides for them.  He is not only willing but also standing ready with His ability to meet our every need.  God has promised us success and victory.  As we pray in the spirit, our spiritual eyes become the eyes of the Lord, and we see His specific provision for our specific need.

ROMANS 8:32 tells us that with His Son Jesus Christ God has freely given us all things.  PHILIPPIANS 4:19 tells us that our God liberally supplies our every need according to His riches in glory.  He fills us up to the full.  JOSHUA 1:8 tells us that God wants us to be prosperous and have good success and do wisely.  1 CORINTHINANS 1:15 tells us:  Thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  2 CORINTHIANS 2:14 tells us:  Now thanks be unto God, Who always causes us to triumph in Christ.

God sees into the future, sees the need, and moves to supply the need before we ever get there.  If you have been praying for your need, move into praise, which is believing and thanking God for the need being met.  Our words loose the blessings of God and can stop the works of the devil.  Every time we praise God for His names, we are loosing the blessings of God on our lives and binding the devil.  You are binding and loosing in the act of worship.  You are binding the wicked spirits and loosing the blessing of the Lord.  God’s provision shall be seen
