Stable and Fixed

Psalms 91:1; Psalms 57:7; Psalms 108:1; Psalms 112:7,8; Isaiah 33:6 Taken from KJV and Amplified Bible

Personalized Confession:

I dwell in the secret place of the Most High God, and I shall remain stable and fixed under His shadow, the shadow of the Almighty, Whose power no foe can withstand.  His shadow is His glory which is a canopy, a defense of divine love and protection.  My heart is fixed, O God, in You.  I remain steadfast and confident in faith in You.  Therefore, I sing praises and make melody in Your presence.  In Your presence is fullness of joy for me.  I am created in Your image, and my heart is established and steady in You.  My heart is firmly fixed (on You and in You) as I trust, lean on and am fully confident in You, Lord.  Because I have a fixed heart, there shall be stability in my life, an abundance of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; the reverent awe and worship of You, my God, is my treasure and Yours.

Why Do You Pray?

Everyone who has ever taught on prayer gives us all the reasons to pray, and they give us all the different kinds of prayer.  They break prayer down into categories and teach us how to handle each area of prayer.  We have had teaching from every angle on kinds of prayer and types of prayer and ways to pray.  Yet many people are not seeing the results they desire.  What is the problem?

How can you talk to someone you don’t know very well?  How can you have communication with someone you don’t spend any time with?  How can you know whether that person even hears you, let alone does anything about what you request?  I believe the problem with unanswered prayer is a disconnect between the pray-er and the pray-ee.  We are ceremonially offering up words to a God we do not even take the time to know.  We want results and we want them now.

How would you feel if your friend or child or spouse treated you that way?  Maybe they do.  If they do, you know how you feel.  It goes like this.  They don’t even know me.  They don’t take the time to sit down and have a decent conversation with me, and when they do, it is because they want something.  Of course, we know that God does not act like we do, but He has set up certain principles and He does respond to those who love Him and care about Him.

Why do you pray?  When do you pray?  What do you say?  What are your motives?  What is your attitude?  What is the reason you are communicating with God?  Did you know that He has feelings.  Yes, He does.

Starting today, don’t be in such a hurry to bring the Lord your “honey do” list.  Go to a quiet place, shut yourself away with the Lord, sit still and tell Him how much you love Him, then be quiet, even if you only have 10 minutes that day.  Keep on doing it every day.  Be consistent.  Don’t give up.

Before long, you will be finding ways to carve out more time for this intimate fellowship.  You look forward to it.  It is your favorite time of day.  And then it comes to the point that there is actually a two-way conversation taking place.  You are talking to Him about your life and what you need and asking Him for His advice and His direction in taking care of the difficult situations in your life.  He will answer in various ways.  Don’t put Him in a box.  For example, the other day as I was sitting still with the Lord, I saw areas in my life that He wanted to cleanse of negative attitudes.  I yielded and He took care of them in a moment of time.  I felt such freedom when I left my place of prayer that day.

Take time every day for you and the Lord, just the two of you.  It may be while you are driving to work.  It may be when you first get up in the morning.  It may be on your lunch break.  It may be in the evening when all is quiet and everyone else is in bed.  Find that time and that place.  Make it a consistent time and place.  Jesus and the Father look forward to being with you.  They look forward to it as much as you do.

Remember that Jesus while He was on this earth set aside time to be alone with His Heavenly Father.  That is when He got His directions for His life.  That is when he spent intimate time with His Father and drew on His strength.  He fed on His Father’s love and goodness.  That is what sustained Him throughout His ministry life and throughout His personal time on the earth.

Jesus’ time that He had spent with His Father prepared Him for the cross and what He had to endure.  Even so, your personal time with the Lord prepares you for those times when the enemy is battling your soul and attempting to overcome you with his various lies and deception.  Because of Jesus, you overcome.

Prayer Quote 03-10-2013

Take time every day for you and the Lord, just the two of you.  It may be while you are driving to work.  It may be when you first get up in the morning.  It may be on your lunch break.  It may be in the evening when all is quiet and everyone else is in bed.  It may be in the shower or bathtub.  Find that time and that place.  Make it a consistent time and place.  Jesus and the Father look forward to being with you.  They look forward to it as much as you do.

Prayer Scripture 03-10-2013

John 4:34, Amplified Bible

Jesus said to them, My food (nourishment) is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish His work.

Healing Confession 03-10-2013

My God is a good God.  He is Love.  Love is never the source of sickness and disease.  I as God’s child have a right to be healed.  My dear Heavenly Father has provided healing for me all the time.  All I have to do is reach out and receive it.  I reach out now and receive God’s healing power operating in my body not only to heal me but to keep me healthy.

My Body – His Container

1 Corinthians 6:19,20; 2 Corinthians 6:16; 1 Peter 1:18-25; Colossians 2:3-9; 2 Corinthians 4:6,7

Personalized Confession:

My body is the temple, the sanctuary of the Holy Spirit.  He lives in me.  I am the temple of the living God.

I have received the Holy Spirit as a gift from God, and I am not my own.  I am His own.  I was bought with a price, purchased with a preciousness (the precious blood of Jesus, 1 Peter 1:19) and paid for.  I am redeemed, purchased with the precious blood of Jesus.  Through Him I believe in God.

I have been born again of the incorruptible Word of God which lives and abides forever, endures forever.  I honor God and bring glory to Him in my body and in my spirit, which are God’s.

Christ the Anointed One, with His anointing, is in me and in Him all the treasures of divine wisdom (comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God) and all the riches of spiritual knowledge and enlightenment are stored up and lie hidden.  In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and I am complete in Him, filled up to the full, having no deficiency.

I have this precious treasure, the divine light of the glorious Gospel, the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in my earthen vessel, my body.

God Desires To Heal You

You as God’s child have a right to be healed.  Your dear Heavenly Father provided healing for you in covenant with you, which is His binding agreement to bring healing to your body every time you reach out to believe and receive.  When you believe you receive, you are healed and made whole by the healing power of the Lord Jesus Christ, even if your body has not quite caught up with the truth of your healing.

When Jesus walked on this earth, He taught the people their rights.  He preached to them about the anointing.  He freed them from evil spirits.  He healed their bodies.  He showed them what God was truly like.  He taught the people and then He set them free.

Jesus never asked the Father if it was His will to heal someone.  The one time Jesus was greatly hindered in His ministry to the sick was in His own hometown, where their unbelief kept Him from doing much.  It was God’s will for the people to be healed but their unbelief stopped the healing power from flowing.

Jesus offered healing unconditionally while He was ministering here on this earth.  He never once said to anyone:  “It is not God’s will to heal you.”

God is a good God.  He is Love.  Love is never the source of sickness and disease.  God’s gifts are good and perfect (James 1:17).

Neither does God give satan permission to put disease and sickness on you.  Satan takes full advantage of your ignorance, your unbelief, your negative words, to do his evil work.  GOD IS NEVER THE SOURCE OF YOUR PROBLEMS, INCLUDING SICKNESS AND DISEASE.

Anything that brings evil, whether it is sickness, lack, death, depression, discouragement, failure, defeat, doubt, fear, is from satan, and not your loving heavenly Father.

Once again, let’s look at some scriptures about healing and meditate on them until we see ourselves being healed, just as those people were healed when they came to Jesus while He was here on this earth in a physical body.  He is the same Jesus.  He is still healing today.

Matthew 15:30,31

And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:  Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see:  and they glorified (recognized, praised, thanked) the God of Israel.

Luke 4:40

Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.

Acts 10:38

How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the (Holy) Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and in particular curing all that were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him.

This same Jesus Who walked the shores of Galilee and healed all who came to Him is still healing all who come to Him and receive His loving touch of healing.  He never changes!
