Our Father God is our place of security
Our Father God is our place of security
Jesus has given me His name to use while I am here on this earth. In the name of Jesus I can speak to sickness and disease and command it to leave. 1 Peter 2:24 tells me that I have been healed and made whole. I receive healing for my body now. I choose to walk in divine health in my life. I am receiving God’s power flowing through my body all the time. Every cell in my body listens to my words and obeys the Word of God.
God Is My Rock, Part 3
Our Father, Our God, Jesus the Word, is our place of security. He is solid and secure. When we stand on Him, all around us may be shaking but He is stable, dependable, always there, ever present to take care of us. In the times in which we are living, He alone is immovable and steadfast. When we place our complete trust in Him, then we become immovable and steadfast when all around us is sinking sand and trouble and destruction.
2 Samuel 22:31-36, KJV and Amplified Bible
As for God, His way is perfect (entire, full, complete, whole, sound, undefiled, without blemish or spot) – the word of the Lord is tried (refined) – He is a buckler (shield) to all those who trust and take refuge in Him.
For Who is God, but the Lord?
And Who is a Rock (Mighty One), except our God?
He is my strength (fortified place, defense, rock, stronghold, fortress) and power (my Fortress, force) – He makes my way perfect (sets me free).
He makes my feet like hinds’ feet (firm, able) – He sets me secure and confident upon the heights.
He trains (teaches) my hands for war….
You have also given me the shield of Your salvation – and Your gentleness has made me great (increased, enlarged, excel, grow, nourish, plenty, abundance, multiplied).
What promises we have here in this scripture passage! Our God is a shield for us against the troubles sent against us. He is our fortress and stronghold. He sets us securely above the problems and gives us confidence that in Him we are overcomers. He causes us to increase and grow and be nourished with abundance in the middle of the storm. That is reason to rejoice and praise Him for Who He is in our lives. Praise Him! Rejoice in His goodness! Trust Him!
James 5:16b, New Living Translation
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.
Mark 16:17,18
In my name … they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Authority of the Name of Jesus
How do we enforce the victory Jesus has given us over sickness? He has given us His name. The Holy Spirit has come as our helper to teach us and equip us with the knowledge we need of God’s Kingdom and how it operates. Jesus’ blood has been shed to wipe away all sickness and disease. When those stripes were laid on His back, Isaiah 53:4,5 tells us that with the stripes that wounded Him we are healed and we are made whole. In 1 Peter 2:24 in the New Testament we read that with the stripes that wounded Jesus we have been healed and made whole (past tense, already done for us). In addition to the name of Jesus, His blood and the Holy Spirit, we have God’s written Word to guide us in all that we do.
Before Jesus left this earth, He gave His authority to the church to use His name (the power of attorney, in other words) to enforce what He had done for His church, the Body of Christ.
In Matthew 28:18-20 we read that all power is given to Jesus in heaven and in earth. He said: You go, therefore, implying that we can have His power to go and do what must be done. We are to teach people all that He has commanded us. He is with us always, even unto the end of the world.
In Mark 16:15-18 Jesus told us that we are to go into all the world and preach the gospel. Part of preaching the gospel is telling people that Jesus has borne their sicknesses and diseases. He also told us that these signs would follow those who believe. That is you and I. In His name we shall cast out devils; we shall speak with new tongues; if a serpent bites us or we drink any deadly thing accidentally, it will not hurt us (Paul proved that when the snake bit him.); and we shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.
What is it about the name of Jesus that gives us the ability to do all these things listed in Mark 16? A person’s name, given to someone to use, is what we call power of attorney in earthly terms. When someone authorizes you or me to use their name, we are basically doing things in their place. We have been given the same power and authority they have to conduct business for them. That is exactly what Jesus has done for His people. He has given us His name to conduct business in the earth for Him while He is gone. Part of that business is laying hands on the sick. He assures us that when we lay hands on the sick in His name, they shall recover. If that sick person is you personally, lay hands on yourself and expect to recover.
In essence we are taking Jesus’ place here on this earth, doing what He did when He was here with the authority of the name of the Father given to Him as power of attorney. Even though Jesus was God, He laid aside His Godly anointing when He came here and took on the Father’s anointing to do what He had to do, in the Father’s name. Now we do what we have to do in His name, with His anointing or power in us to get the job done.
Don’t choke on being like Jesus. He is the One Who gave us that anointing. He is the One Who authorized the use of His name. That is the plan that God set up from the time He created Adam and Eve. When they messed up the plan, God had a way to reinstate His authority and power in mankind through His Son Jesus. Now we have been given the authority of the name of Almighty God to use to receive healing for sickness and disease.
What a beautiful partnership. We get to see the results of the blessing of healing. The Father gets the joy of seeing people set free from sickness and disease. What a privilege to be given the honor to use the name of Jesus while He is away. God thought of everything.
Your prayers are effective; they are mighty; they work; they produce results. Mighty man or woman of God, when you pray, your prayers produce the effect desired. God has given you His power to produce the effect intended. Believe in yourself as much as God does. Know that your prayers are powerful. Receive God’s encouragement and know that your Godly prayers are producing results. Believe it! Receive it! Have it!

God Is My Rock, Part 2
There is a song that says: On Christ the solid rock I stand; all other ground is sinking sand. God is a solid, immovable part of our lives when we trust Him. There is nothing greater and stronger than God. Oh, many times the devil comes huffing and puffing with his lying spirit and aggressive actions to bluff us, but we are the ones with the power of God dwelling in us.
The unfortunate part of our relationship with God is that many have not learned how to allow that great, dynamite power of God which is inside them to operate on their behalf. I am reminded of 1 John 4:4 today from the Amplified Bible. I will personalize it for you. I am of God. I belong to God. I am His child, and I have already defeated and overcome the agents of antichrist because greater, mightier is He Who is in me than he who is in the world. Do you believe that today? Is that God’s Word? Yes, it is. His Word will not return unto Him void, empty, useless, without producing what it was sent forth to do (Isa. 55:1). We all must trust God and His Word. This is the greatest time of all times to trust His Word—-that it works for us personally, in our lives. God is a personal God. He wants to take care of each one of us. He has the power and the ability to do that. He is our Rock.
Deuteronomy 32:4 KJV and Amplified Bible
He is the Rock; His work is perfect; for all His ways are law and justice – a God of truth and without iniquity – a God of faithfulness without breach or deviation – just and right is He.
Iniquity: moral evil, to distort (morally), perverseness, unjust(-ly), wicked(-ness), unrighteousness
2 Samuel 22:2-4 KJV and Amplified Bible
The Lord is my Rock and my Fortress and my Deliverer.
The God of my Rock – in Him will I trust – in Him will I take refuge – He is my Shield – He is the horn (power) of my salvation (liberty, deliverance, prosperity, safety) – He is my High Tower (my Stronghold) – He is my Refuge – He is my Savior – He saves me from violence.
I call upon the Lord Who is worthy to be praised and I am saved from my enemies
Think on and ponder this scripture particularly today for yourself personally. Your God is a Protector and Deliverer for you. You can trust Him and take refuge in Him. He will keep you from your enemies (enemy satan).
There is a song that says: On Christ the solid rock I stand; all other ground is sinking sand. God is a solid, immovable part of our lives when we trust Him. There is nothing greater and stronger than God. The power of God is dwelling in us.
