Words of Wisdom 10-24-2012

Dare to believe what God says about you.  It is true.  You have an established heart.  Let God take care of the establishing of your heart for you.  He sees you right now as pure and spotless and righteous before Him.  Let’s see ourselves the same way and come into agreement with God.  How can two walk together except they be in agreement.  If we are not in harmony with God, no wonder we are not receiving our prayers answered or problems turned around.  Let’s choose to come into agreement with Him.

Words of Wisdom 10-23-2012

Psalm 112: 7,8 says that my heart is established, firmly fixed, trusting, leaning on and being confident in God.  My heart is established and steady.  What is an established heart?

Pearls of Wisdom 10-23-2012

ESTABLISHED, PART 1

In Christ Jesus we take hold of His Word.  We must be ones who are established in the Word of God (the Bible), established in His Truth forever, with our hearts established in Christ, the Anointed One and His anointing, which removes the burdens we carry and destroys the yokes of bondage around the neck of our lives (if we allow Him to do so).  He in turn establishes us in righteousness (being right, in right relationship with Him).  We must be so established that nothing fazes us, regardless of what we see or experience in this present earthly existence.

The word “establish” means:

To set or fix firmly or unalterably

To settle permanently

To enact or decree by authority and for permanence

To settle or fix what is wavering, doubtful or weak; to confirm

With that definition in mind, over the next several days we are going to look at the Word of God concerning being established.

Today let’s look at scriptures talking about being established in faith.

Colossians 2:6,7, Amplified Bible

As you have therefore received Christ, [even] Jesus the Lord, [so] walk regulate your lives and conduct yourselves) in union with and conformity to Him

Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving.

Take this scripture as reality in your life.  That is you if you are a child of God, if you are born again.  If you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, this is what you do:

You regulate your life in Him.  You conduct yourself in union with Him.  You conduct yourself in conformity to what He is.

You are rooted in Him.  You are built up in Him.  You have the roots of your being firmly and deeply planted in Him.  You are fixed and founded in Him.  You are being continually built up in Him.

You are becoming increasingly more confirmed and ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH as you have been taught.

You are abounding and overflowing in the faith in thanksgiving.

You say that you don’t feel like that is who you are.  Believe me, there are days when I don’t feel like that is who I am.  BUT, and there is the big word—-if God’s Word says that is who I am, then guess what?  That is who I am!  Faith is simply believing that is who I am.  Circumstances and answered prayer or the lack thereof do not determine that is who I am.  God’s Word of Truth is who I am.

Say it with me:  I am a child of God.  I am established in faith.  I am rooted in Him.  I am overflowing with faith in thanksgiving.

I AM ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH!

PRAYER FOR OTHERS

PRAYER SCRIPTURE

Philippians 1:3,4, The Message

Every time you cross my mind, I break out in exclamations of thanks to God.  Each exclamation is a trigger to prayer.  I find myself praying for you with a glad heart.

PRAYER TEACHING

Prayers that are made with thanksgiving and joy are a delight to God’s heart.  We are told in Psalms to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.

When we come to our place of prayer every day, let’s start with the right attitude of thanksgiving and a grateful heart.  Before we start our list of petitions, let’s focus on how good God is and what He has done for us.  Let’s take some time to thank Him and let Him know how grateful we are to Him for His goodness.  I know, there are times when we are sort of “down in the dumps” about life in general and we certainly don’t feel very joyful.  You’re breathing, aren’t you.  You have breath in your body, don’t you.  Even if you are hooked up to oxygen, thank God for the availability of oxygen. There are always things we can find for which to be grateful.

I am reminded right now that when I pray for people that I am not too pleased with at the moment, I am to break out in exclamations of thanks to God, and pray for them with a glad heart.  Are you thinking right now—-yuk, yuk and double yuk?  Hold on a moment.  God could think the same thing about you and worse.  He is perfect and you are definitely imperfect without Him.  So there you go—you are already ahead of the game.  That person is not nearly as bad as you thought.  Pray for them.  Before you know it, you will find yourself praying with a glad heart.

Pray and rejoice!  Have a grateful heart!  Let joy be your trigger to pray!

PRAYER CONFESSION

I PRAY FOR OTHERS WITH JOY IN MY HEART!

Healing Confession 10-22-2012

I have decided that I will live the good life that Jesus has made available to me.  I will walk in it.  I will cast off worries every time they present themselves to me.  I will cast off cares of this world, like:  “What am I going to do in the times we are living?”  or “What if this doesn’t work?”  or “What if I stay sick?”  I refuse to think those thoughts.  Instead, I choose to think on things that are lovely and true and pure.

THE GOOD LIFE

HEALING SCRIPTURE

John 4:10, Amplified Bible

Jesus answered her, If you had only known and had recognized God’s gift and Who this is that is saying to you, Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him [instead] and He would have given you living water.

John 10:10, Amplified Bible

…I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

So many times we look as Jesus in terms of our spiritual condition, and that is as it should be.  That is first of all, to Him, the most important matter in our lives.  Unfortunately, though, what so many people have done is confine Jesus to one part of their lives.  God is a three-part being (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), and He created us as three-part beings.  We are a spirit.  We have a soul, which is composed of our minds (our thinker), our wills (our decider) and our emotions (our feelers).  We live in a body.  Don’t you think that God is concerned about all three parts of our being!  After all, He is the one Who created us that way.

What is really interesting to me is that when He looks at us, He looks at all three parts at once and considers all three parts as being whole.  So many “Christian” forget about two of their parts.  We have a soul, with which we contact this earth by what we think on, what we choose, how we feel, which (like it or not) affects our physical bodies.

Jesus came that we might be whole in all three areas of our lives.  What good are we on this earth if our bodies are sick and our minds are troubled and we can’t seem to make the right decisions, and we are always messed up with our emotions leading us around by the nose and dictating to us what we do.  Jesus came, took on our sicknesses and diseases and our messed up souls so that we could have and enjoy life “to the max.”  What it takes to do that is developing a new mindset of God’s joy and God’s peace reigning in our lives (spirits, souls, and bodies).

How do we develop a new mindset?  Philippians 4:6-8 gives us the answer.  In a nutshell, these verses tell us that we are not to fret, worry, have anxiety, or take on cares, but we are to make our wants known to God, thanking Him for the answer.  We are then to think only on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of a good report.  I can hear you right now:  Sure, that is easy for you to do.  No, it was not easy initially, and it is not always easy now, but you know what, I have made a decision that this is the way it is going to be for me.  “I am carefree and think only on the Word of God.”  That is my stand!  God’s Word is unchangeable and makes me immovable.  It starts with a decision and God helps you to do what His Word says.  Make your decision.  So what if you fall down many times!  Get back up and go again until you are consistently walking in this good life.
