Jesus wants to be the very breath you breathe and the life you live.
Jesus wants to be the very breath you breathe and the life you live.
In HiActs 17:24-28
The God Who produced and formed the world and all things in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in handmade shrines.
Neither is He served by human hands, as though He lacked anything, FOR IT IS HE HIMSELF WHO GIVES LIFE AND BREATH AND ALL THINGS TO ALL PEOPLE.
Genesis 2:7 Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being (a living, speaking spirit like God).
Job 33:4 The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty has given me life.
And He made from one common origin, one source, one blood all nations of men to settle on the face of the earth, having definitely determined their allotted periods of time and the fixed boundaries of their habitation, their settlements, lands, and abodes. So that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after Him and find Him, although He is not far from each one of us.
FOR IN HIM WE LIVE AND MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING; as even some of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring.
If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord, then you are in Christ Jesus, and He is in you. You are One with God. Isn’t that awesome! Whether you feel like it or not, He is in there. God Almighty Who gives us life and breath is dwelling in you. It is His very breath and life (zoe), the absolute life in which there is no death, that dwells in you. He, Life Himself, lives in you and moves in you and you have your very being, your very existence in Him. Think on that all day and there is no defeat, there is no failure. God does not fail. He Who does not fail lives in you and me. Therefore, when you depend on Him, He instructs you, guides you and prevents you from making mistakes. He is in you for a purpose. He wants you to live the good life which He prepared for you and has made ready for you, like a new house. Your new house, your new place of residence, is in Him. In Him is everything you need. Ask Him and he will give it to you. He has made you and He lives in you. Believe it! Choose to accept it! Walk like it is true, whether it looks like it or not in the natural in your life. If you walk it long enough, it becomes reality 24/7 for you. CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY! HALLELUJAH!
Philemon 6
The communication of your faith becomes effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
Jesus is calling us to come to Him Who will take care of us. We are to give Him all our burdens and those things that weigh us down.
Jesus is calling us to come to Him and to give Him all our burdens and those things that weigh us down.
Faith, confidence is produced as we talk about the goodness of God and think on what His Word says to us. He is a God of faith. He is a God of encouragement. He wants us to succeed in all that we set our hands to. When we pray, He wants to hear faith and confidence in His ability to answer our prayers. It is His ability that is released on our behalf. It is not our ability. Have confidence in God’s ability being released to answer your prayers.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is our Teacher to teach us all the Truth of the Word of God, if we will allow Him and not bind Him. He is here to teach us the truth about healing and divine health. Our job is to be open to His teaching and correction if we are believing incorrectly regarding God’s Kingdom operation, which can be totally opposite to the earth’s way of believing. We must always be open to the truth of God’s Word, renewing our minds daily with His Word, which is His will.
In the book of Romans Paul tells us again and again that we must walk in the spirit and not fulfill the lusts of our flesh. He tells us to be spiritually minded and not carnally minded. He warns us of the dangers of walking by the dictates of our flesh. He emphasizes having a mind renewed by the Word of God. He tells us our lives are not to be governed by the dictates of the flesh but by the leading of the spirit. We are to be led by the Holy Spirit. He is the One Who helps us.
What is Paul saying to us? Who is the Holy Spirit? Where is He now? What is His function? How do we tell the difference between our mind and the Holy Spirit of God?
The Holy Spirit is God Himself manifested here on the earth right now. He comes to dwell in our mortal bodies, in our spirit man, while we are here on this earth. We cannot necessarily feel Him like we can touch one another; nevertheless, He is in us when we accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord. By faith, we believe He is there to guide us.
Even though we cannot see Him or feel Him, we must choose to believe that the Holy Spirit exists and that He is in us and that He guides us in our prayers and in our lives as a whole. It is He Who teaches us how to live in divine health.
The way I know that He is talking to me is that as I become still and listen, I have an unction to do something a certain way or to say something. As I spend more time with Him, I know Him like I know my own son or my own husband. The more time I spend with Him, the more I recognize His voice. I would recognize my husband’s voice in a crowded room because I am with him a lot. Likewise, I am with the Holy Spirit a lot, so I recognize His voice in the midst of the cacophony of the world’s voices telling me to do this or that.
The Holy Spirit has taken Jesus’ place right now on this earth. It is His anointing which brings healing and health to us and to others as we pray for them. We learn to depend on Him.
One of the best ways to know the Holy Spirit is to pray much in tongues. It is the language of communication with Him. We may not always know what we are praying or saying in tongues, but He will interpret for us what we need to know. It is His language, given to us as a special communication, which bypasses our natural language and way of thinking. It is wonderful to know that we have a separate, private communication line that no one else knows, unless the Spirit of God chooses to give the interpretation to them of what we are praying in tongues. Once again, I have to say, what a privilege God has given to us. He is so good to us. He loves us so much.
Let the Holy Spirit guide you in your life.
Come To Me
Matthew 11:28-30
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.
Take my yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.
For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good – not harsh, hard, sharp or pressing, but comfortable, gracious and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.
Jesus is calling us to come to Him Who will take care of us. We are to give Him all burdens and those things that weigh us down. Actually, His yoke is really not a yoke in terms of bondage. It is a joining together with Him like oxen are joined together with a yoke. When we join with Him and operate as one, yielding ourselves to Him, His anointing of Love and Life removes the burdens for us and destroys the yokes of bondage that satan has attempted to place on us.
What Jesus asks us to bear is really not a burden. We are to bear love and goodness and peace and tranquility and health and happiness and joy and prosperity. Those are the kinds of things that we are designed to carry. We were never designed by God to carry anything but His goodness and nature. Anything else is foreign to us and an enemy. We are no longer yoked to our enemy satan. He is our foe and opposed to us. What we do is cast the whole of our cares on the Lord and hook up with Him in unity of heart. Every day we must do that—-join with Him Who is all Life and Love.
Effectual Faith
We cannot talk about effectual prayer without talking about effectual faith.
In Philemon 6 we read that the “communication of your faith becomes effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”
The participation with others in the sharing of our faith, in the fellowshipping with one another in social settings, produces power, becomes operational, by acknowledging every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus. To acknowledge means to admit the existence, the reality, the truth of something. This acknowledgement releases force, power.
What does all this mean to us as people who pray? When we talk about, when we recognize all the good things in us because of Jesus, we are encouraged, we move to a level of determination that our prayers work. That is really what faith is all about—-having confidence. That is another word for faith. Have confidence that your prayers are releasing God’s power into the situation about which you are praying. Then continue to acknowledge the good things that prayer is releasing for you and the people for whom you are praying.
The more we talk about good things, the more confident we are that good is coming our way. The more we talk about negative things, the more we are convinced that bad stuff is going to happen and that we can’t do anything about it.
Negative thoughts and words tend to immobilize us and, yes, even paralyze us regarding receiving anything from God or anyone else. Think about this for a moment. Who do you as a person tend to gravitate toward—-the negative person or the positive person? The answer is: the positive person. Why do you think that is true? Positive people encourage us, build us up and help to propel us to believing in successful results, even when things look pretty gloomy.
Today, make a quality decision that you will be that person who is positive and uplifting for yourself and for others. Make that quality decision that you find good things to acknowledge in your conversations with others and with God. This world right now needs people who confidently know that God Almighty is going to take care of them, regardless of what they see in the natural which is looking them in the face. Don’t let circumstances speak louder than God in any situation you encounter. Pray and let God and His Word speak louder for you and those for whom you pray.
Holy Spirit, You are my Teacher and my Guide. I thank You that today you are teaching me how to receive healing in my body. I am listening to Your voice and I do not listen to the voice of a stranger. As I am still before you, thank You that You are giving me instructions on what to eat and how to treat my body. Thank You for Your instructions right now. I know that You are giving me wisdom now to walk a healthy lifestyle.
