IN MY FATHER\u2019S HOUSE<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I am sure that many of you are familiar with the scripture in John 14:2<\/span><\/strong> where Jesus told us that in His Father\u2019s house are many mansions.\u00a0 If it were not so, He would have told us otherwise.\u00a0 He has gone and prepared a place for us.\u00a0 He said that He would come again and receive us to Himself, that where He is, there we may be also.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In Hebrews 3:6<\/span><\/strong> we read that Christ is faithful over His own Father\u2019s house as a Son and Master of it.\u00a0 It is we who are now members of that house, if we hold our joyful and exultant confidence and sense of triumph in our hope in Christ.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As I looked at these two verses yesterday, which are very much connected, God showed me something about Father\u2019s house and mansions.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

House here is the Greek word oikia which means residence, abode and by implication, family.\u00a0 It is from the Greek word oikos which means dwelling.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mansion is mone which comes from meno which means a staying, that is, residence, abode, mansion; to stay in a given place, state, relation or expectancy.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What we see here is that Jesus was telling us:\u00a0 Where My Father lives, there are many residences for us as His family.\u00a0 We will dwell in them with Him in the place that He has prepared for us.\u00a0 Jesus has promised us that He will come again and receive us to Himself.\u00a0 Where He is, we may be also.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We are the Father\u2019s house also.\u00a0 God dwells in us and we dwell in Him.\u00a0 Where He is, we are as His children.\u00a0 Our little brain finds it hard to wrap around this truth.\u00a0 We are with Him right now in heaven.\u00a0 He is with us right now on earth.\u00a0 We are together.\u00a0 This is why we can hold our joy and confidence and triumph firm to the end.\u00a0 Our hope is in Christ, the Anointed One and His anointing, His power, His ability.\u00a0 He is our hope.\u00a0 He is our dwelling place.<\/p>\n
