EXCEL<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Holy Spirit, through the Apostle John in 3 John 2<\/span><\/strong>, had this to say to us as God\u2019s dear children.\u00a0 It is such a familiar scripture I believe we have not truly had a revelation of it.\u00a0 Let\u2019s look at this scripture verse today.<\/p>\n

BELOVED, I DESIRE (OR PRAY) THAT YOU PROSPER AND BE IN HEALTH EVEN AS YOUR SOUL PROSPERS.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s start with that first word—-BELOVED.\u00a0 You are loved by the Lord.\u00a0 I am going to make a statement that will probably shock some of you.\u00a0 His very life is tied up in you.\u00a0 He lives for you and your happiness and well being.\u00a0 He delights in your success.\u00a0 It gives Him great pleasure for you to be the healthiest, richest, most prosperous person on the face of the earth.\u00a0 You are His whole focus of attention.<\/p>\n

It is His DESIRE that you PROSPER and BE IN HEALTH.\u00a0 His greatest desire is to see you prosperous.<\/p>\n

To PROSPER means to excel, to achieve the highest excellence.\u00a0 Does that mean money, as so many people have narrowly defined it?\u00a0 No, it means your entire life.\u00a0 You are to excel in health.\u00a0 You are to excel in relationships.\u00a0 You are to excel in love and joy and peace and all the fruit of the spirit.\u00a0 You are to excel in walking in the fullness of His provisions.\u00a0 And, yes, you are to excel in wealth.\u00a0 Every one of God\u2019s children were born again to excel.\u00a0 Excellence is our byword.<\/p>\n

BE IN HEALTH—sometimes for some people that seems to be so unreachable because everywhere you and I turn, we hear that there is this sickness out there and that infirmity and this possibility of catching something deadly.\u00a0 What you hear and focus on is what you become.\u00a0 We are bombarded on TV, even on the commercials now—-drug companies are spending big bucks to capture your attention with their commercials because there is big business in drugs.\u00a0 We live in a society which is sickness conscious.\u00a0 Our society, however, the Kingdom of God society, is a society which is health conscious.\u00a0 The only way to maintain that health is given us in the last part of that verse.<\/p>\n

AS YOUR SOUL PROSPERS—-your soul consists of your thinking ability (your reasoning), your ability to make decisions and your reaction to stimuli.\u00a0 In other words, your soul is your mind, your will and your emotions.\u00a0 How do we get them to excel?\u00a0 What we focus on determines how they operate?\u00a0 Our focus is to be on God.\u00a0 How do we do that?\u00a0 His Word!\u00a0 His Word is the expression of Himself.\u00a0 As we dwell in His Word, we are dwelling in Him, in His Presence, and we become like Him.\u00a0 Look upon Him and be whole today.\u00a0 Delight yourself in Him; enjoy His Presence.<\/p>\n
