{"id":789,"date":"2012-10-15T01:00:16","date_gmt":"2012-10-15T07:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sandbox.subsilioconsulting.com\/wordpress\/?p=789"},"modified":"2012-10-04T08:37:19","modified_gmt":"2012-10-04T14:37:19","slug":"prayer-teaching-10-15-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/2012\/10\/15\/prayer-teaching-10-15-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Prayer Teaching 10-15-2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"internal-source-marker_0.18842939088180422\" dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>FORGIVE!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>PRAYER SCRIPTURE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Mark 11:25, New Living Translation<\/strong>\u00a0 But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>PRAYER TEACHING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">One of the major hindrances to answered prayer is unforgiveness. \u00a0All of us have had plenty of occasions to hold a grudge and not forgive someone. \u00a0There are numerous times when we have the \u201cright\u201d not to forgive. \u00a0We have been wronged. \u00a0But in God\u2019s Kingdom, we are to forgive people when they do wrong to us. \u00a0I don\u2019t know about you, but there have been times in my life when that has been tough. \u00a0I want to get even with them for the hurt they have inflicted on me.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">When someone takes something from you (It can be money, or your inheritance or your dignity or your reputation or your spouse or your promotion or any number of things.), you are to forgive them. \u00a0It doesn\u2019t mean that there won\u2019t be residue of hurt in you. \u00a0You forgive by faith. \u00a0Then allow God to take care of your feelings that appear to be contrary to forgiveness.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">I think the greatest example I can think of is the story of Corrie Ten Boom. \u00a0Most of you know her story, but in case you don\u2019t: \u00a0She had to forgive the Nazi prison guard who was responsible for her sister\u2019s death and the brutality enforced on her and her family. \u00a0She lost everything because of her family being caught hiding Jews during the war. \u00a0Without family, without home, without anything but her faith in God, she survived and started the process of forgiveness. \u00a0As I remember, she personally forgave that prison guard in person. \u00a0Whether she forgave in person or not, she did forgive him. \u00a0I have also heard of people who forgave someone who murdered a member of their family.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Forgiveness is very big in God\u2019s eyes. \u00a0He is the greatest Forgiver. \u00a0He forgave you and me for all that we would do wrong toward him and others before we even did the wrong. \u00a0He sent His only Son at that time to take our place and our punishment just so we could be free. \u00a0Now that is forgiveness. \u00a0How many of us would be willing to go to prison for someone else or even more intense, to die for someone else? \u00a0But that is exactly what Jesus did. \u00a0That is pretty awesome to me when I sit and ponder it for any length of time.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Forgive and experience the freedom of nothing holding your prayers back.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>PRAYER CONFESSION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I FORGIVE OR RELEASE OTHERS, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO ME!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FORGIVE!
