{"id":2754,"date":"2013-04-15T01:00:23","date_gmt":"2013-04-15T05:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/?p=2754"},"modified":"2013-03-31T18:49:08","modified_gmt":"2013-03-31T22:49:08","slug":"pearls-of-wisdom-04-15-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/2013\/04\/15\/pearls-of-wisdom-04-15-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"Pearls of Wisdom 04-15-2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Leave No Room, Part 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I have been considering a verse in Ephesians 4 for some days now.\u00a0 Verse 27 tells us to leave no room or foothold for the devil and to give no opportunity to him.\u00a0 Even though this verse is talking about being angry and not letting the sun go down on your wrath, let\u2019s look at what it means in our overall life \u201cto give no place to the devil.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s look at the idea of giving the devil no room in our lives.\u00a0 What gives him room in our lives and what gives him the opportunity to mess with us?\u00a0 What gives him the right to even touch us because 1 John 5:18 tells us that the wicked one touches us not?\u00a0 What opens the door for him?\u00a0 What triggers his operations in our lives?<\/p>\n<p>We as human beings are designed with a \u201cbeliever\u201d called our spirits.\u00a0 God placed in us the ability to believe and the right to choose what we believe.\u00a0 He gave us a soul to help us make choices.\u00a0 That soul is made up of our mind, our will, and our emotions.\u00a0 Each part of our soul can contribute to our choices many times.\u00a0 Ideally, our spirits direct our choices and our souls agree with those choices.\u00a0 But here is what happens many times.\u00a0 We may get emotionally involved with fears and concerns and worries.\u00a0 We may think and ponder the wrong things, such as:\u00a0 What are we going to do?\u00a0 It looks like it is not working.\u00a0 Oh, my, I\u2019m afraid I\u2019ll not make it.\u00a0 That is wrong thinking.\u00a0 Then our wills get involved and we make decisions out of fear.<\/p>\n<p>What is the solution to overcome emotional distress, wrong thinking and fear-driven choices?\u00a0 The Word of God!\u00a0 It\u2019s that simple.\u00a0 Really, it\u2019s that simple.\u00a0 But that is too simple.\u00a0 Isn\u2019t there more?\u00a0 No!\u00a0 God created us with the Word.\u00a0 He is the Word.\u00a0 All of creation responds to Him Who is the Word.\u00a0 What He speaks, it becomes.\u00a0 We are like Him.\u00a0 We are His children.\u00a0 We have His attributes.\u00a0 When we speak, it should become.\u00a0 So why doesn\u2019t it become when we speak?<\/p>\n<p>We will conclude our teaching tomorrow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Leave No Room, Part 1 I have been considering a verse in Ephesians 4 for some days now.\u00a0 Verse 27 tells us to leave no room or foothold for the devil and to give no opportunity to him.\u00a0 Even though this verse is talking about being angry and not letting the sun go down on [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[17],"tags":[],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"","_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2754"}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=2754"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2754\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":2755,"href":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2754\/revisions\/2755"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2754"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=2754"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=2754"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
