Peter\u2019s Mother-In-Law Healed, Matthew 8:14-17<\/strong><\/p>\n

When Jesus went into Peter\u2019s house, He saw Peter\u2019s mother-in-law lying sick with a fever.<\/p>\n

Jesus touched her hand, and the fever left her.\u00a0 She rose up and ministered to them.<\/p>\n

Well, that is pretty straightforward.<\/p>\n

She was sick.\u00a0 Jesus touched her.\u00a0 She was well.\u00a0 She got up and probably cooked and fed Jesus and the people with Him.<\/p>\n

I believe what this is portraying to us is that healing is easy.\u00a0 It is simple and not complicated at all.\u00a0 Jesus is there for us.\u00a0 He touches us and the sickness leaves.\u00a0 I can hear you talking right now.\u00a0 Well, it sure hasn\u2019t left me!\u00a0 Really!\u00a0 Is Jesus different with you than he is with others.\u00a0 Only believe.\u00a0 And keep on believing, regardless of how impossible it seems.\u00a0 Don\u2019t let go.<\/p>\n

If Jesus healed one, He must heal all, because He is no respecter of persons.\u00a0 He has obligated Himself by healing one, to heal all.\u00a0 That is the way God operates.\u00a0 He treats everyone equally.\u00a0 Don\u2019t let satan lie to you and steal from you.\u00a0 He is a thief and the father of liars.\u00a0 Those are lying symptoms.\u00a0 You have been given authority by Jesus to tell him and his lying symptoms to pack their bags and vacate the premises.\u00a0 Then put up a great big sign.\u00a0 This body is occupied by Jesus Christ.\u00a0 No vacancy here.<\/p>\n

After Jesus had healed Peter\u2019s mother-in-law, when evening came, people brought their sick to Him.\u00a0\u00a0 I know that when they heard He was there, they wanted Him to touch them and make them and their loved ones well.\u00a0 They believed.<\/p>\n

That evening Jesus did all kinds of things.\u00a0 Those who were under the power of demons, He drove out the spirits with His Word.\u00a0 He restored to health ALL WHO WERE SICK.<\/p>\n

He did this that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took in order to carry away our weaknesses and infirmities, and bore away our diseases.<\/p>\n

Did you see what Jesus did?\u00a0 He restored to health every sick person who was brought to Him.\u00a0 And we have the answer as to why He did it.\u00a0 He did it to show us that He carried away all our weaknesses and bore away all our diseases.\u00a0 He had not even gone to the cross yet to bear these things.\u00a0 Yet, as a demonstration of what was to come, Jesus healed all who were sick.\u00a0 This was His word to us who were yet to be born and to live on this earth.<\/p>\n

Jesus has one photograph in His mind for everyone.\u00a0 HE HEALS ALL WHO ARE SICK!\u00a0 That is His vision.\u00a0 That is what He sees.\u00a0 He sees nothing else.\u00a0 He has nothing else on His mind.\u00a0 As far as He is concerned, sickness is history, gone forever.\u00a0 This is the photograph He wants each of us to have in our hearts.\u00a0 Sickness is history, gone forever.<\/p>\n

Oh, I know we sometimes have to fight those thoughts of sickness when the pain is intense and the fever rages.\u00a0 But at some point we have to decide what we will accept as truth.\u00a0 Will we accept the symptoms as truth and give in to them or will we fight and accept God\u2019s Word as truth that He is our Healer and that He loves us too much to leave us sick.<\/p>\n

It is a choice, and sometimes what seems to be a hard choice.\u00a0 It is perceived as a hard choice because in this world that is not the way it is.\u00a0 People make fun of you when you choose the route of God\u2019s healing and health.\u00a0 They tell you that you are chasing pipe dreams.\u00a0 They tell you that it is unrealistic.\u00a0 Well, that is a choice each of us must make.\u00a0 Do we believe Jesus or do we believe the world?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
