{"id":2624,"date":"2013-03-31T01:00:11","date_gmt":"2013-03-31T05:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/?p=2624"},"modified":"2013-03-01T01:43:11","modified_gmt":"2013-03-01T06:43:11","slug":"healing-teaching-03-31-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/2013\/03\/31\/healing-teaching-03-31-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"Healing Teaching 03-31-2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>March 31 is Easter Sunday.\u00a0 May every person reading this healing teaching this week remember what happened from the cross of Jesus Christ to His ascension to the throne of God.\u00a0 He suffered untold agonies for us, so that we could have the freedom to be whole in every area of our lives.<\/p>\n<p>First, in the Garden of Gethsemane He wrestled with His will to go to the cross.\u00a0 He surrendered everything to His Father and trusted completely in His Father.<\/p>\n<p>At the whipping post He took the stripes on His back that healed you and me.\u00a0 About six months ago, I was in prayer and saw a picture of the Lord at the whipping post.\u00a0 He turned around and looked at me as the whip came down on His back.\u00a0 I will never forget the look of love in His eyes that spoke to me as if He had opened His mouth and uttered these words:\u00a0 \u201cI do this for you.\u201d\u00a0 I continue to see that picture.\u00a0 How could I possibly ignore what He did for me!\u00a0 Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:17 and 1 Peter 2:24 tell us that with the stripes that wounded Jesus, with those wounds, we are healed and made whole.\u00a0 Think on that until it becomes bigger in you than the sickness that satan is trying to attach to your healthy body.<\/p>\n<p>The soldiers mocked and beat on Jesus, mercilessly rammed that crown of big spiky thorns on His head, put a purple robe on Him, placed a reed in His hands and bowed down to Him in jest.\u00a0 Then they ripped that robe off His back, peeling off what little skin was left on His back.\u00a0 Oh, the agony He must have endured.\u00a0 I cannot comprehend it.\u00a0 It is too much for me to take in.<\/p>\n<p>And then the most cruel treatment of all&#8212;-THE CROSS.\u00a0 Crucifixion was the most brutal form of death the Romans could inflict on a human being.\u00a0 It was cruel, unfeeling, with no mercy.\u00a0 These Roman soldiers had carried out this form of death so many times, they were immune to the pain of those who hung on the cross.\u00a0 The spikes were driven into Jesus\u2019 hands and feet.\u00a0 He hung there, trying to get breath as His chest caved in and the supply of oxygen was becoming less and less.\u00a0 What a cruel death our Lord endured for us.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>What did this death of Jesus really mean?\u00a0 It was not just a horrible physical death carried out at the whim of the Pharisees and the soldiers and Herod and Pontius Pilate.\u00a0 It was the will of God that Jesus suffer this death, which was the fulfillment of God\u2019s dream to take back the authority that man had given to satan and made him the god of this earth.\u00a0 He is a ruthless taskmaster, enslaving all of mankind in the slave market of the world, exacting cruel payment to purchase you and me.\u00a0 Jesus paid the price of release for each one of us with the shedding of His blood.\u00a0 Without the shedding of blood there is no remission for sin, no release from sin and all its consequences.\u00a0 My Lord, what a blessing we have because of Jesus being willing to take our place and take the penalty of punishment due to us.\u00a0 Because of His death, you are free and you can live a good life.<\/p>\n<p>Isaiah 53:4,5,10a<\/p>\n<p>Surely he has borne our griefs (sicknesses) and carried our sorrows (pains); yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.<\/p>\n<p>But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities:\u00a0 the chastisement needful to obtain peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes that wounded Him we are healed and made whole.<\/p>\n<p>Yet it was the will of the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief and made Him sick.<\/p>\n<p>1 Peter 2:24<\/p>\n<p>He personally bore our sins in His own body on the tree as on an altar and offered Himself on it, that we might die, cease to exist, to sin and live to righteousness.\u00a0 By His wounds you have been healed.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus was wounded that you might be healed!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>March 31 is Easter Sunday.\u00a0 May every person reading this healing teaching this week remember what happened from the cross of Jesus Christ to His ascension to the throne of God.\u00a0 He suffered untold agonies for us, so that we could have the freedom to be whole in every area of our lives.
