Healing Is God\u2019s Will<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jesus continually showed us God\u2019s will while He was here on this earth.\u00a0 He said that He came to do the Father\u2019s will.\u00a0 John 6:38:\u00a0 \u201cFor I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jesus told us that He only said and did what the Father showed him to say or do.\u00a0 John 8:28:\u00a0 \u201cThen said Jesus unto them, When you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things.\u201d<\/p>\n

When the leper came to Jesus, that man said to Jesus (Matthew 8:2,3)\u00a0 \u201c\u2026 Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.\u00a0 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be clean.\u00a0 And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.\u201d\u00a0 Here we see Jesus telling the leper that it is His will to heal people.\u00a0 We must understand the great significance in Jesus touching the leper because the law said that Jesus would be unclean if He touched a leper, but the power of God\u2019s \u201cclean\u201d overtook the uncleanness of the sickness of leprosy.\u00a0 Lepers were never touched, but Jesus touched him, to let him know that he was valuable to Jesus.\u00a0 What a beautiful example of God\u2019s willingness to heal the most dreaded of diseases.<\/p>\n

In the gospels there are many examples of God\u2019s willingness to heal, demonstrated through His Son Jesus.\u00a0 Look at Jesus\u2019 attitude toward sickness and disease while He was on the earth.\u00a0 Never once did He turn away anyone who asked for healing, without providing healing for them.\u00a0 Even the Syrophenician woman (a Gentile) received healing for her daughter when she asked Jesus \u00a0\u00a0Her faith in His healing power was great, even in the face of what seemed unwillingness on His part to respond to her.\u00a0 He was not unwilling; He was pleased with her persistence and I am sure longed that the Jews would have been as persistent.<\/p>\n

As we look at other examples of healing in the Bible, let\u2019s remember that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever, so if He healed them, He will heal you.<\/p>\n

Matthew 4:23,24<\/p>\n

And Jesus went about all Galilee teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.\u00a0 And His fame went throughout all Syria:\u00a0 and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy and he healed them.<\/p>\n

Matthew 8:16,17<\/p>\n

When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils:\u00a0 and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:\u00a0 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses.<\/p>\n

Matthew 14:14<\/p>\n

And Jesus went forth and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them and he healed their sick.<\/p>\n

In Mark 6:53-56 we see people who were sick and touched the border of Jesus\u2019 garment and were made whole.<\/p>\n

Meditate on these scriptures until you see yourself healed with the touch of Jesus.\u00a0 He wants to bring healing to you and see you whole and happy and enjoying life again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
