God Is Our Rock, Part 8<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We have been studying God as our Rock, our impenetrable place of stability and rest.\u00a0 Let\u2019s ask ourselves a question today:\u00a0 Is He my place of rest and stability?\u00a0 Am I making Him the One on Whom I lean and rely and the One in Whom I confidently trust?\u00a0 He is solid and unchangeable, the same yesterday, today and forever.\u00a0 All else is subject to change, but He is not!\u00a0 There\u2019s been much talk about change in our nation.\u00a0 God says that He is unchanging.\u00a0 He Who is the Word fails not.\u00a0 He is our place of refuge and strength, the One Who is forever, eternally, and perpetually the same.\u00a0 He and His Word never change!<\/p>\n

Today we will look at two scripture passages which are totally different concerning God as our Rock, yet they have the central theme of Him being our Rock of Refuge.\u00a0 In the first set of scriptures, we see Him as our Protector from wickedness and in the second set of scriptures we see ourselves bowing before Him and worshipping and praising Him with hearts of thanksgiving for being our ROCK OF SALVATION (WHOLENSS).\u00a0 HE IS OUR GOD!<\/p>\n

Psalm 94:13, 20-23<\/p>\n

Lord, You instruct and teach me out of Your law (Word) that You may give me power to keep myself calm in the days of adversity until the inevitable pit of corruption is dug for the wicked.<\/p>\n

Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with You \u2013 they who frame and hide their unrighteous doings under the sacred name of the law.<\/p>\n

They band themselves together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.<\/p>\n

But the Lord has become my High Tower and Defense and my God, the Rock of my refuge.<\/p>\n

And He will turn back upon them their own iniquity and will wipe them out by means of their own wickedness \u2013 the Lord our God will wipe them out.<\/p>\n

Psalm 95:1-7<\/p>\n

O come let us sing to the Lord \u2013 let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation.<\/p>\n

Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving \u2013 let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise.<\/p>\n

For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods.<\/p>\n

In His hand are the deep places of the earth \u2013 the height and strength of the hills are His also.<\/p>\n

The sea is His, for He made it and His hands formed the dry land.<\/p>\n

O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker in reverent praise and supplication.<\/p>\n

For He is our God and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
