{"id":2209,"date":"2013-02-10T01:00:28","date_gmt":"2013-02-10T06:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/?p=2209"},"modified":"2013-02-04T01:04:36","modified_gmt":"2013-02-04T06:04:36","slug":"prayer-teaching-02-10-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/2013\/02\/10\/prayer-teaching-02-10-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"Prayer Teaching 02-10-2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Effectual Faith<\/b><\/p>\n<p>We cannot talk about effectual prayer without talking about effectual faith.<\/p>\n<p>In Philemon 6 we read that the \u201ccommunication of your faith becomes effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The participation with others in the sharing of our faith, in the fellowshipping with one another in social settings, produces power, becomes operational, by acknowledging every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus. \u00a0To acknowledge means to admit the existence, the reality, the truth of something. \u00a0This acknowledgement releases force, power.<\/p>\n<p>What does all this mean to us as people who pray? \u00a0When we talk about, when we recognize all the good things in us because of Jesus, we are encouraged, we\u00a0move to a level of determination that our prayers work. \u00a0That is really what faith is all about&#8212;-having confidence. \u00a0That is another word for faith. \u00a0Have confidence that your prayers are releasing God\u2019s power into the situation about which you are praying. \u00a0Then continue to acknowledge the good things that prayer is releasing for you and the people for whom you are praying.<\/p>\n<p>The more we talk about good things, the more confident we are that good is coming our way. \u00a0The more we talk about negative things, the more we are convinced that bad stuff is going to happen and that we can\u2019t do anything about it.<\/p>\n<p>Negative thoughts and words tend to immobilize us and,\u00a0yes,\u00a0even paralyze us regarding receiving anything from God or anyone else. \u00a0Think about this for a moment. \u00a0Who do you as a person tend to gravitate toward&#8212;-the negative person or the positive person? \u00a0The answer is: \u00a0the positive person. \u00a0Why do you think that is true? \u00a0Positive people encourage us, build us up and help to propel us to believing in successful results, even when things look pretty gloomy.<\/p>\n<p>Faith, confidence is produced as we talk about the goodness of God and think on what His Word says to us. \u00a0He is a God of faith. \u00a0He is a God of encouragement. \u00a0He wants us to succeed in all that we set our hands to. \u00a0When we pray, He wants to hear faith and confidence in His ability to answer our prayers. \u00a0It is His ability that is released on our behalf. \u00a0It is not our ability. \u00a0Have confidence in God\u2019s ability being released to answer your prayers.<\/p>\n<p>Today, make a quality decision that you will be that person who is positive and uplifting for yourself and for others. \u00a0Make that quality decision that you find good things to acknowledge in your conversations with others and with God. \u00a0This world right now needs people who confidently know that\u00a0God\u00a0Almighty\u00a0is going to take care of them, regardless of what they see in the natural which is looking them in the face. \u00a0Don\u2019t let circumstances speak louder than God in any situation you encounter. \u00a0Pray and let God and His Word speak louder for you and those for whom you pray.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Effectual Faith We cannot talk about effectual prayer without talking about effectual faith.
