The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].<\/p>\n
A good man\u2019s prayer is powerful and effective.<\/p>\n
The prayers of the righteous have a powerful effect.<\/p>\n
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.<\/p>\n
Since James was a part of the household in which Jesus was born, I sit up and take notice to what he writes. \u00a0He lived with Jesus 24\/7, as he grew up. \u00a0He heard and absorbed the words Jesus spoke, whether he knew who he was or not, at that time. \u00a0Words are powerful and lodge in your mind and eventually in your spirit and become a part of you.<\/p>\n
So, listen up, everyone! \u00a0James says that our prayers as righteous people produce powerful results. \u00a0Yet so many Christians feel like they can\u2019t pray like the preacher in the pulpit or the intercessor who spends\u00a0hours a day in prayer. \u00a0You and I as \u201cordinary\u201d Christians have the same Jesus as our Savior and Lord, the same Holy Spirit residing on the inside of us. \u00a0He is the One Who directs our prayers. \u00a0It is not we who direct our prayers. \u00a0Maybe your words don\u2019t sound as eloquent as some others. \u00a0So what! \u00a0God does not analyze your every word. \u00a0Talk with Him. \u00a0Speak what He says. \u00a0Speak His Word.<\/p>\n
The first thing we must establish here is that you are righteous if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior. \u00a0You have right standing with God. \u00a0You have His ear open to your requests. \u00a0He has given you rights in His Kingdom. \u00a0One of those rights is prayer, communication with Him, and results being produced from that communication.<\/p>\n
What is effectual prayer? \u00a0The Greek word used here is energeo. \u00a0Do you see an English word in this? \u00a0Of course you do. \u00a0The word is energy. \u00a0Your prayer as God\u2019s child is energizing, producing God\u2019s results, working and operating in His Kingdom with His Word, by the Holy Spirit of God. \u00a0Yes, your prayer! \u00a0Not your best friend\u2019s or your pastor\u2019s, but YOUR PRAYER!<\/p>\n
I want to encourage you today. \u00a0Pray, talk to God all the time. \u00a0He wants to be your best friend. \u00a0He loves to be with you and discuss your life. \u00a0When you are washing dishes, taking out the trash, shopping, going to meetings, working in the office, cleaning house, taking care of children, having a date with your spouse or girlfriend\/boyfriend, wherever you are and whatever you are doing, God wants to be \u201cin on it.\u201d \u00a0Talk to Him about everything. \u00a0He is a good listener. \u00a0But also you be a good listener when\u00a0He wants to speak. \u00a0He knows a whole lot more than you do. \u00a0So do more listening than you do talking.<\/p>\n
Your prayers are effective; they are mighty; they work; they produce results. \u00a0According to Webster\u2019s 1828 Dictionary, effectual means producing the effect desired or intended or having adequate power or force to produce the effect. \u00a0Wow! \u00a0Look at that! \u00a0Mighty man or woman of God, when you pray, your prayers produce the effect desired. \u00a0God has given you His power\u00a0to produce the effect intended. \u00a0Believe in yourself as much as God does. \u00a0Know that your prayers are powerful. \u00a0Receive God\u2019s encouragement and know that your Godly prayers are producing results. \u00a0Believe it! \u00a0Receive it! \u00a0Have it!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
