LIGHT AND REST<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In John 1<\/strong> we read that in Jesus was life and that life was the light of men.\u00a0 What does that mean?\u00a0 In Jesus was the Life of God (zoe: without death or stress) because He knew the Love of God (agape: love without any strings attached), which brought understanding (Light) to Him of His Father.\u00a0 Even so, for those of us who are children of God, in us dwells the Life of God in the person of the Holy Spirit.\u00a0 That life is meant to produce an understanding of the ease and rest in God.<\/p>\n

This Life of God is a choice we make every day.\u00a0 It is not just a one-time choice when we get born again.\u00a0 Every day, before we get out of bed, we are already making choices.\u00a0 Are we frenetically planning our day so that we can get all accomplished that we have to do?\u00a0 Or are we taking the time to rest in the Lord, abide in His Love and enjoy His Presence?\u00a0 Out of that calmness comes revelation or understanding of our day.\u00a0 He will show us what to do.\u00a0 He will guide us.\u00a0 He is in charge.<\/p>\n

We may have a thousand things on our mind and a multitude of things to do.\u00a0 That kind of mentality produces stress, which produces sickness and disease, which leads to our early departure from this earth.\u00a0 You see, satan has it all figured out.\u00a0 He doesn\u2019t have to do a frontal attack on us most of the time.\u00a0 He can just stress us to death.\u00a0 That takes care of us.\u00a0 We are gone.\u00a0 And he starts on the next one and the next one and the next one.<\/p>\n

Jesus rested in His Father\u2019s care.\u00a0 He was always at ease and joyful because He knew His Father\u2019s love for Him.\u00a0 Out of the love of the Father came the life of the Father (zoe) that knows no unrest and stress.<\/p>\n

In our Lord is perfect peace, which comes from His indwelling perfect love.\u00a0 That perfect love produces a perfect life.\u00a0 That perfect life guides us into the perfect Light (understanding, revelation) of His Presence.\u00a0 In His Presence is fullness of joy.\u00a0 Joy is the strength of our lives.\u00a0 Joy is the product of LIFE.<\/p>\n

There is the natural life and there is the eternal, God kind of Life (zoe).\u00a0 I know that every one of us will choose the God kind of life.\u00a0 There is no other way to live and be free of stress, anxiety and fretting.\u00a0 In these days we need to focus on God\u2019s Love inside us which produces God\u2019s Life flowing through us and shows forth God\u2019s Light for all the world to see that we are different.\u00a0 Let His Light shine and they will come to you.\u00a0 \u201cWhat is different about you?\u201d they will ask, and you can tell them.\u00a0 What a divine way to witness!\u00a0 We let our lives speak.\u00a0 He does the rest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
