{"id":1174,"date":"2012-11-26T01:00:31","date_gmt":"2012-11-26T08:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sandbox.subsilioconsulting.com\/wordpress\/?p=1174"},"modified":"2012-10-18T21:43:06","modified_gmt":"2012-10-19T03:43:06","slug":"healing-teaching-11-26-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/2012\/11\/26\/healing-teaching-11-26-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Healing Teaching 11-26-2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"background-repeat: no-repeat;\"><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>What About Me, Lord?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>When times are tough, when you are hurting so badly you have to be drugged greatly, when you have been given a very discouraging report, when things look really bad, have you ever looked upward and said:\u00a0 What about me, Lord?\u00a0 Do you even care?\u00a0 Can\u2019t you see I\u2019m hurting?\u00a0 Why aren\u2019t you doing something about it?\u00a0 Am I important at all to You?\u00a0 We all have had those thoughts, even though we may not verbalize them.\u00a0 What about me?<\/p>\n<p>To answer these questions, let\u2019s go to the book of Isaiah, chapter 53.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Isaiah 53:4,5,10a<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:\u00a0 yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.\u00a0 But he <em>was<\/em> wounded for our transgressions, <em>he was<\/em> bruised for our iniquities:\u00a0 the chastisement of our peace <em>was<\/em> upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.\u00a0 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him:\u00a0 he has put <em>him<\/em> to grief:\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>First, we must know what some of these words mean.\u00a0 The word \u201cgriefs\u201d means sicknesses, weaknesses, distresses).\u00a0 The word \u201csorrows\u201d means pain.\u00a0 Where it says \u201che was stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted,\u201d it means as if with leprosy (one of the most dreadful diseases).<\/p>\n<p>He was wounded, bruised for our sins, transgressions, iniquities.\u00a0 He took the \u201chit\u201d for us.\u00a0 The \u201dchastisement of our peace was upon him.\u201d\u00a0 This phrase means that Jesus took on everything that cause you and me to be \u201cstressed out.\u201d\u00a0 This word \u201cpeace\u201d is the word shalom, which means:\u00a0 to be safe, well, happy, healthy, prosperous, whole, completed and at rest.\u00a0 Don\u2019t you think that pretty much covers it all, everything that we would need!<\/p>\n<p>Then in verse 10 it is emphasized that it pleased the LORD to bruise him.\u00a0 He has put him to grief.\u00a0 Man, why would it please the Lord to bruise him?\u00a0 The answer is this:\u00a0 He was pleased that He was taking your place so that you would not have to suffer what you are suffering right now.\u00a0 There is just one \u201ccatch\u201d to this.\u00a0 You have to accept what He did for you and believe it and receive it, even if your body is still screaming.\u00a0 You see, we live in this imperfect world with the perfect Jesus in us.\u00a0 There is a conflict many times in us between the world and Jesus.\u00a0 We are bombarded in the world with sickness, pain, disease.\u00a0 In Jesus we are healed, whole, healthy, well, sound, pain-free.\u00a0 There is a battle, and we must stand firm for our rights, purchased for us by Jesus.\u00a0 Health is ours.<\/p>\n<p>My, my, what a gift we have been given, and how difficult it has been for us to receive it.\u00a0 I have made up my mind that I am receiving healing every day for my body.\u00a0 Does it mean everything is always instantly manifested for me?\u00a0 No, but I am asking the Lord why?\u00a0 What is there in me that holds it up?\u00a0 It\u2019s time for people to receive healing and health and live in an abundance of joy, living the good life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ephesians 2:10, Amplified Bible<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For we are God\u2019s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What About Me, Lord?
