{"id":1160,"date":"2012-11-19T01:00:31","date_gmt":"2012-11-19T08:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sandbox.subsilioconsulting.com\/wordpress\/?p=1160"},"modified":"2012-10-18T21:26:53","modified_gmt":"2012-10-19T03:26:53","slug":"prayer-teaching-11-19-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/2012\/11\/19\/prayer-teaching-11-19-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Prayer Teaching 11-19-2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"background-repeat: no-repeat;\"><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Our Father Who Art In Heaven<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, even though it was in the Old Covenant before Jesus had gone to the cross, I believe He gave them an example or a beginning outline of how to pray.\u00a0 Some people disagree with this teaching, but I do not believe anything is in the Bible by mistake.<\/p>\n<p>He told them to begin by honoring the Father, His name.\u00a0 \u201cOur Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He was saying:\u00a0 Address the Father, speak to Him who is in heaven and honor His name, have respect for Who He is.\u00a0 Pray with respect for all He is and represents.<\/p>\n<p>In John 17:26 Jesus said that He had made known the Father\u2019s name and revealed His character and His very Self to His disciples.\u00a0 He said that He would continue to make the Father known.\u00a0 He would make known the love which the Father bestowed upon Him and which may be in us and that Jesus may be in us.\u00a0 Before that, in verse 23, Jesus made this statement:\u00a0 He in us and the Father in Him, in order that we may become one with them, that the world may know and recognize that the Father sent Jesus and that the Father loves us even as He loves Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>Look at the above paragraph and take all that into yourself.\u00a0 Ponder it for yourself.\u00a0 That applies to you as well as Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>The Father has many names.\u00a0 Every name indicates Who He is in us.\u00a0 He is Jehovah, Yahweh, with all the facets of Jehovah.\u00a0 He is Jehovah Rapha or Rophe, Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Tsidkenu, Jehovah Ra\u2019ah, Jehovah M\u2019Keddesh, Jehovah Shalom, Jehovah Shammah, Jehovah Rohi, Jehovah Hoseenu, Jehovah Sabbaoth.<\/p>\n<p>He is the God of Wisdom and the God of Understanding, the God of Counsel and Might, the God of Knowledge (Isaiah 11:2).\u00a0 He is Elohim, El\u00a0 Shaddai, Adonai<\/p>\n<p>There are many other names of God throughout the Bible.\u00a0 These are a few that I am mentioning.\u00a0 He is whatever you need.\u00a0 He is whatever you want.\u00a0 His names indicate Who He is, what His nature is.\u00a0 That is Who He is.\u00a0 He is everything.\u00a0 When you say, \u201cOur Father,\u201d you are saying everything He is and He is making available to you that is in the name you are praying.\u00a0 Our Beloved Father in Heaven provides for all our needs on earth.\u00a0 He has thought of everything.\u00a0 He gave Jesus His name, so that when you say Jesus, you say it all.\u00a0 You say:\u00a0 Healer, Provider, Shepherd, Prince of Peace, Righteous One, Strengthener, LORD!\u00a0 Speak His name!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Isaiah 12:4, Amplified Bible<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And in that day you will say, Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name and by means of His name [in solemn entreaty];
