{"id":1158,"date":"2012-11-12T01:00:10","date_gmt":"2012-11-12T08:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sandbox.subsilioconsulting.com\/wordpress\/?p=1158"},"modified":"2012-10-18T21:23:23","modified_gmt":"2012-10-19T03:23:23","slug":"prayer-teaching-11-12-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.kspministries.org\/wordpress\/2012\/11\/12\/prayer-teaching-11-12-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Prayer Teaching 11-12-2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"background-repeat: no-repeat;\"><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Thanksgiving To God<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>It seems that the Lord is not finished teaching us about praising Him and thanking Him for all He has done, as we enter into prayer.\u00a0 I am learning as much as you are.\u00a0 Once again, I am reminded of the importance of thanksgiving.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Psalm 100<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands!\u00a0 Serve the Lord with gladness!\u00a0 Come before His presence with singing!\u00a0 Know (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God!\u00a0 It is He Who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]!\u00a0 We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.\u00a0 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise!\u00a0 Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name!\u00a0 For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.<\/p>\n<p>Look at those verses.\u00a0 Come, come, come, come before Him with singing.\u00a0 Know that He is God.\u00a0 He is the one Who made us.\u00a0 We are His.\u00a0 Come on, come on, come on and enter His gates with thanksgiving and enter His courts with praise.\u00a0 Be thankful.\u00a0 Praise His name!\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 He is good and His mercy endures forever.<\/p>\n<p>Now look at the New Testament in Philippians 4:6, Amplified Bible.<\/p>\n<p>Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.<\/p>\n<p>Even when we make petitions before God for our needs, we are to do it with thanksgiving.\u00a0 Why thanksgiving?\u00a0 Thanksgiving precedes the receipt of a gift given.\u00a0 Thanksgiving is saying to God:\u00a0 I know that You are taking care of me, and I don\u2019t have to worry about it.\u00a0 Then God\u2019s peace is ours.\u00a0 This peace builds a wall of protection around our heart and mind to guard us when thoughts come to us that are contrary to results&#8212;thoughts like:\u00a0 You\u2019re not going to make it.\u00a0 You don\u2019t really think you are going to get results. Look at all the times you didn\u2019t receive anything.\u00a0 You might as well give up.\u00a0 It will be the same this time.<\/p>\n<p>Thanksgiving overrides negative thoughts because you can\u2019t think on two things at the same time, especially if you voice thanksgiving.\u00a0 Try it.\u00a0 Give voice to thanksgiving for everything you can think of and notice where your thoughts go.\u00a0 Your thoughts go in the direction of your mouth.\u00a0 What are we saying here?\u00a0 When negative thoughts bombard your mind, start speaking and singing thanksgiving to God.\u00a0 It works.\u00a0 Ask me how I know!<\/p>\n<p>The greatest words expressing faith are two little words:\u00a0 THANK YOU!\u00a0 Thank you means that I take it.\u00a0 It is mine now.\u00a0 Thank you for it.\u00a0 I am grateful.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thanksgiving To God It seems that the Lord is not finished teaching us about praising Him and thanking Him for all He has done, as we enter into prayer.\u00a0 I am learning as much as you are.\u00a0 Once again, I am reminded of the importance of thanksgiving.
